This year’s Iowa Author Fest is to be held August 6th, 11am to 3pm, at Jasper Winery, 2400 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines, Iowa. There will be limited space this year, so first come first served, sorry. Cost $40.00 per author, includes table and chair. I was planning on increasing the number of authors each year but because of downtown construction and cost we changed the venue for this year. Also we will have a room to hold fifteen minute readings for about sixteen (16) authors during our time at Jasper Winery. This will be first come first served also.

Depending on the number of books you have published, you may have to share a space with another author.

I have set up another e-mail address strictly for Iowa Author Fest and I will keep this email, B2013k@outlook.com , open for my use.

New Iowa Author Fest e-mail will be: IaAuFe@outlook.com

Thank you for participating in one or both previous two events. I look forward to seeing again this year.

Thank you

Larry Stumbo and associates.

I am at the MBLU Conference this weekend. Along with getting better acquainted with fellow authors we were able to have one on one time with the readers that came. This gives a unique perspective on what the readers likes and do not like in novels. By listening to their suggestion the author can tweak their work making  better story that the readers will enjoy more. We also had a book signing sharing different ideas with fellow authors. There is different panels we can glean from along with lots of fun. We got to watch a photo shoot with cover model Chris Scott then last night we were entertained by country singer, Jackson Young, and could have our picture taken with two very handsome young male cover models. When it was my turn I shocked the models by requesting they put their shirts back on and button them. One asked, “You want me to put ON my shirt?” My answer was, “Yes, I have a grandson your age. Put your shirt on.”
