Charlie Kadabra once thought he was just another abandon baby not worth keeping. Hiding from bullies, he comes across his science teacher in the process of going to kill a little rabbit in an alley. As he tries to stop him, Charlie inadvertently blows his teacher up, who turns out not to be human at all but a robot. The bullies come running and they also start to change into horrendous monsters bent on killing him. His friend, Emily, saves Charlie by opening a portal in to the magic world of Mim. There Charlie finds out that he is the last of the magicians who are the guardians of the world of Mim. Mim is a wonderful magical world filled with fairies, large talking rabbits, dragons, merpeople, gnomes and other fairy folk. However Mim is in desperate need of help. Dr. Pi, maker of the robots and other horrendous creatures, is in the mist of destroying the magic in Mim which will decimate Mim. If Mim falls the rest of the worlds will follow. Charlie must overcome his self doubt and find the courage to go on a quest to locate the four jewels of power to heal his father’s staff and save Mim.
